3rd Annual Bikers Against Breast Cancer Run

SAVE THE DATE Saturday, May 10, 2008 for the 3rd Annual Bikers Against Breast Cancer Run We're making it bigger and better If you've attended in the past, you know the ride is tight the food is alright, and the Trophies are there for the taking. Last year, East Coast Bad Girlz took home two trophies, that's right, most repped female and their club raised over $1,100. Road Detail: Exclusively by Xclusive Creation, MC, Passaic, NJ YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A BIKER, TO BE INVOLVED!!! This year's theme is "OVER THE TOP" Our campaign goal is to reach and then exceed, $10,000 to help us continue our mission. Our mission is to provide temporary financial assistance to those persons directly or indirectly affected by cancer and who are struggling to pay their common living expenses. Wouldn't it be nice if someone handed you a check and said here, go pay a bill, it's on us! Well, that's what BABC, Inc. is all about. We're hoping we can help someone get through those financial tough times so that they can focus on their health, getting well, and living longer. Just think! You can be a part of that too! Simply send me an email requesting a pledge sheet, a membership application, or other ideas about how you can help us reach our goal. PMDC Midnight Fund

IF YOU HAVENT HEARD:Myrtle Beach's Precious Metals Bike Club Humbly Asks for Your Help Because No One Wants to Out Live Their Child: Our very own brother MIDNIGHT has been dealing with an ongoing battle with his son. His son is only three years old. His birthday is December 21st. We ask that you open your hearts and wallets to our brother in his time of need. We want him to know that he is not alone. If or when something happens to his child we want to make the process as less painful as possible. Even a simple card would show him how we are not just a community of bikers, we are family. Here is his story: "My son, Larry Germain Burroughs Jr., has a rare disease call moya-moya syndrome (stroke & seizure). He cannot take anything by mouth, so therefore he has a G-tube so he can eat and take his medications. He cannot talk. The first time we noticed that he had a seizure was when he was 7 ½ months old. Then he had several more seizures, but the one in November was when we decided to have the brain surgery. On February 1, 2005, the day before the surgery, we had to stop his aspirin. That is when he had a major stroke. He was on life support, oxygen and he was in a coma. The doctor said they don't know if he was going to make it. But he came out the coma 7 days later and was getting back to his old self. They said to have the surgery was now out the picture. Then we notice that he wasn't moving and playing. He went a year without having a stroke or a seizure. However they came back in 2006 and he had three more strokes and seizures. The one he had in July was a bleeding stroke. THAT IS WHEN THEY SAID THEY HAVE DONE ALL THEY COULD. But before he had any stroke or seizure he was crawling and trying to walk. But now my baby boy can't walk." Our hearts go out to Midnight and his family and as we do not know how much time his son has.
